Statement

Today the Australian Technology Park Sydney played host to the 2016 auDA Annual General Meeting (AGM), where I as Chair of the auDA Board, was honoured to open proceedings.

We heard from auDA’s new CEO Cameron Boardman, the first AGM of his tenure. Mr Boardman spoke of plans to make auDA a more transparent organisation, offer greater benefit to stakeholders, ensure security is central to all efforts and position auDA as thought leaders in the Australia digital community. (You can view his presentation auDA-AGM-FINAL2.pdf ).

All general resolutions on the agenda were passed, the special resolution - Clause 18.2(d) Constitution of the Board to increase the number of Independent Directors did not pass and a healthy discussion was had about all Board decision-making and the Executive’s plans for the organisation’s future.

Finally, the AGM saw the re-election to the Board of two Supply Class Directors Erhan Karabardak and Joe Manariti and Demand Class Director Simon Johnson. The Board also welcomes Tim Connell as a new Demand Class Board Director.
