2013 auDA Foundation funding announced

The auDA Foundation has announced the outcomes of the 2013 Funding Round. In this round, the auDA Foundation awarded grants to 14 projects with a total of $300,862. 

2013 is the 7th funding round and the Foundation has now funded 98 projects totalling $1,958,631.

This year, the auDA Foundation funded a diverse range of community, research and technology projects.

The full list of grant recipients and project titles is as follows:

  • Aboriginal Literacy Foundation - ALF Digital Literacy Hub
  • Australian Institute of Criminology - Misuse of the domain name system
  • Australian Prostate Cancer Research - Online delivery of prostate cancer nursing and allied health care: Developing an accessible, equitable and effective model of care online
  • Curtin University - Streaming Digital Talking Books to the Print Disabled via a modified DAISY Online Delivery Protocol
  • Hear and Say - Centre for Deaf Children - Hear and Say eAudiology Project
  • HeartKids NSW Incorporated - HeartClass for Kids
  • La Trobe University - Development of Cool Little Kids Online: preventing anxiety problems in young children
  • Monash University (Klaus Ackermann) - A new, high spatial-resolution dataset on Internet use in Australia
  • St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne - Development of a framework for a reputable E-mental health information portal for CALD Australian consumers and carers
  • The Song Room - Jam Room - ARTS:LIVE
  • University of South Australia (2 grants) - Enhancing innovative capabilities and sustainability of regional/rural Australian SMEs through Web 2.0-enabled social networking activities; and Access information via the Internet: the strengths and limitations faced by Indigenous communities
  • University of the Sunshine Coast - Online News and Older Australians: Ensuring the needs of Australia's ageing population is taken into account in the delivery of journalism online
  • University of Technology Sydney - Developing an online cloud-based cyber-bullying detection system
