RSSauDA – ACCC action against Internet Name Group
Melbourne, 19 April 2002 - auDA notes with interest the action launched by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) against Internet Name Group alleging misleading and deceptive conduct under the Trade Practices Act.
Internet Name Group is a Melbourne IT licensed reseller of domain names, and has been provisionally accredited by auDA to operate under the new regime when it begins this year.
auDA is obtaining copies of the documents filed with the Federal Court by the ACCC so that it may decide what action should be taken with respect to Internet Name Group’s provisional accreditation.
auDA will announce its decision early next week.
