Capital Networks registrar accreditation terminated by agreement

Melbourne, 29 April 2005 – auDA (the manager of .au) and Capital Networks Pty Ltd (trading as TotalNIC) have settled all outstanding disputes between them. As part of the settlement terms, Capital Networks has withdrawn its application to the High Court for special leave to appeal, auDA has withdrawn its application for winding up and Capital Networks’ registrar accreditation has been terminated by agreement.

“The termination of Capital Networks’ accreditation will not affect .au domain names which have been registered through Capital Networks" said auDA CEO, Chris Disspain. "The licences for those domain names will continue unaffected until their next expiry date."

auDA will shortly be writing to all registrants who have registered their .au domain names through Capital Networks, to explain the steps which they should take before the next expiry date of their domain names.
