Melbourne, 5 November 2001 - auDA releases Request For Expressions Of Interest - Test-Bed Registrars For .Au Second Level Domains.

auDA today released a Request For Expressions Of Interest for Test-Bed Registrars For .Au Second Level Domains (REOI). The REOI seeks expressions of interest from organisations who wish to become auDA Accredited Registrars and to take part in the Test-bed Process that will commence once the Registry Licence Agreements have been entered into with the successful bidders under auDA's Request for Tender for Registry Operators.

Successful applicants will be Provisionally Accredited as Registrars by auDA and, subject to passing auDA's Registry/Registrar Interface Test and paying the Licence Fee, will become auDA Accredited Registrars on the introduction of the new Registry Operator and Registrar regime early next year.

The closing date for the REOI is 19 November 2001.

auDA CEO, Chris Disspain said, "auDA recognises that a successful test-bed process is critical to achieving a smooth transition to the new system and encourages industry players to consider participating".
