auDA reviewing Community Geographic Domain Names

Posted by auDA on 15 May 2014

auDA is currently reviewing the Policy Rules and Guidelines for Community Geographic Domain Names (CGDNs) (2008-04).

CGDNs are address localities in the relevant state/territory (e.g. carlton.vic.au, alicesprings.nt.au, etc). CGDNs can only be registered by local community groups for use as a community website.

auDA has released an Issues Paper and invites all interested parties to comment on all aspects of the CGDN policy.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 13 June 2014.
