Call for Expressions of Interest for the Policy Review Panel

auDA is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified individuals to join the Policy Review Panel (‘the Panel’) for a 12 month period. The Panel will examine and make recommendations on the implementation of Direct Registration and policy reform.  

The first stage for the Panel will be to develop, in conjunction with public consultation, the implementation policy for Direct Registration. The second stage will review existing policies (Published Policies and Guidance)

auDA is seeking panellists representative of a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. In selecting the panellists, the Panel Chair will seek to achieve a fair balance of stakeholder interests, taking into account applicant skills, experience and knowledge of the domain name industry.

The Panel will consist of up to six members, other than the Chair, including:

  • at least one supply and one demand class member;
  • a peak business body representative;
  • a consumer protection representative;
  • an academic with experience in internet or domain names; and
  • a representative of a government regulator.

Expressions of Interest, highlighting applicant suitability for the Panel, can be sent to policy.review@auda.org.au. The closing date for EoI responses is 5.00pm Wednesday 23 August 2017. Prior applicants for the position of Chair of the Policy Review Panel need not submit an application for Panel positions as they will be automatically considered.
