Congratulations to Geoff Huston AM

auDA would like to join our Chair in congratulating Geoff Huston AM, who was made a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for his services to science and his role as a pioneer of the internet in Australia.

Geoff is a member of auDA’s Technical Standing Advisory Committee and was the original architect of the Australian Academic and Research Network (AARNet) which established the Internet in Australia. He went on to work for Telstra and then APNIC, where he is currently their Chief Scientist. He is widely known internationally for his work in the IETF, OECD, ITU and numerous other bodies.
