.au Domain Administration (auDA) is a new, not-for-profit organisation, responsible for formulating a policy framework for the development and administration of the Internet's .au domain space. It represents the interests of all members of the Australian Internet community, and is active in liaising with national and international organisations on issues relating to the domain name system in Australia.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to provide leadership within the Australian domain name system and to establish auDA as an authoritative and respected Internet industry body. You will need to gain the confidence and support of the Australian Internet community and will be required to act as an effective advocate for auDA to government, the media and other industry bodies, including overseas organisations.

To succeed in this role you must demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in managing a small organisation.
  • Effective relationship building and networking skills.
  • The ability to liaise successfully with corporate and government bodies.
  • Knowledge of the issues facing the Internet industry, nationally and globally.

As a tertiary qualified, highly skilled communicator, you will have a consensus management approach, with the capacity to understand and incorporate the needs of all stakeholders, and you will demonstrate understanding of advocacy and lobbying techniques.
