Expressions of Interest: Licence Review Panel

.au Domain Administration is inviting expressions of interest from qualified persons to be considered for appointment to the Licence Review Panel.

The Panel’s role is to review administrative decisions made by auDA under the new Licensing Rules.5

The Licence Review Panel will be established under paragraph 3.8 of the .au Domain Administration Licensing Rules (the ‘Licensing Rules’) which were approved by the auDA Board (with the exception of paragraph 2.17) on 18 June 2019.

The auDA Board has not yet announced the commencement date for the Licensing Rules but it is expected to be in 2020.

A person appointed to the Licence Review Panel may also be appointed to hear matters under the Registrant Review Panel Rules relating to the cancellation of a licence for breach of the auDA Published Policies. 

Applicants

A person applying for the Licence Review Panel should demonstrate a high level of integrity, sound judgement, legal or professional skills, interpersonal skills and a capacity to resolve matters in an efficient manner.  Persons with experience in administrative review of decisions for a tribunal, regulator or comparable panel arrangement will be considered favourably.

A person is not eligible to be appointed to the Licence Review Panel who is a director or employee or consultant to auDA or an auDA Registrar.

Expressions of interest should be submitted to policies@auda.org.au no later than 2 January 2020. 

The auDA Board is expected to make appointments to the Licence Review Panel in early 2020.

Successful applicants will be required to enter into a Services Agreement with auDA.
