.au Domain Administration (auDA) is pleased to announce that the Total Internet Group are the first auDA accredited registrars to be certified as Information Security Standard (ISS) compliant.

The ISS policy is aimed at protecting .au registrants, and the stability and integrity of the .au domain space. Mandatory for all auDA-accredited registrars, the ISS is a world-first security initiative.

DDNS, Cheaper Domains and Information Brokers, part of the Total Internet Group, are the first three auDA accredited registrars to achieve ISS compliance.

DDNS Group CEO Rod Keys believes that early implementation of ISS has benefited his business.

“The auDA ISS assessment process positions us for future success and has enhanced security for our clients,” Mr. Keys said.

auDA has appointed Vectra Corporation to conduct the on-site ISS compliance assessments.

Existing and prospective registrars must achieve ISS compliance within 24 months as of 17 October 2013.
