On 7 February 2011, the Supreme Court of Victoria ordered Australian Style Pty Ltd be placed in liquidation and appointed John Lindholm of insolvency firm Ferrier Hodgson as liquidator. The decision follows a winding up application lodged by .au Domain Administration (auDA) on 29 November 2010.

Following auDA’s successful proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2009, auDA’s costs of the trial payable by Australian Style Pty Ltd were assessed and fixed by the Court at $373,312.49. auDA served a statutory demand for payment of that amount which Australian Style Pty Ltd failed to comply with.

The order for liquidation poses no risk to registrants who formerly registered .au domain names with Australian Style Pty Ltd t/a Bottle Domains, as these 8536 names were transferred to auDA on 26 July 2010 as part of the termination of Australian Style Pty Ltd's Registrar Accreditation. To date, registrants of 4884 names have contacted auDA and transferred to alternative registrars or resellers.
