RSSauDA Foundation – 2011 Grant Recipients
It is always wonderful to see the diverse range of projects we receive each year from applicants across Australia and how the auDA Foundation can contribute to this tremendous effort.
In its fifth year running, the foundation has provided grants to 72 projects to a total value of nearly $1.3million. I am delighted that we have managed to establish a presence within the Australian community and attracted very considerable interest as a fund dedicated to making the Internet a better place.
The project types received this year include educational resources, academic research, development of online programs, training delivery, support for PhD and creation of website or website development.
I am proud to announce that this year we have allocated grants to the following organisations:
- University of New England
- SANE Australia
- Vicnet
- Epilepsy Action Australia
- Queensland University of Technology
- Learning Links
- Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory Inc
- Byron Bay Community Association
- Central Goldfields Shire Council
- Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children
- University of New South Wales
- Curtin University
- Brainlink Services Limited
A total of $311,765 was allocated to the successful applicants with each receiving between $14,000 and $20,000.
It is a genuinely good feeling to hear how appreciative the organisations are to receive our help, and the positive impact our funding can make to these projects that will enhance the utility of the Internet for the benefit of the Australian community.
