auDA reviews .au Dispute Resolution Policy (auDRP)

Posted by Jo Lim on 27 November 2012

The purpose of the .au Dispute Resolution Policy (auDRP) is to provide a cheaper, speedier alternative to litigation for the resolution of disputes between the registrant of a .au domain name and a party with competing rights in the domain name.

The auDRP commenced on 1 August 2002 and there have been 300 proceedings lodged to date. auDA is conducting a 10 year review of the auDRP to ensure that it remains an effective and appropriate dispute resolution mechanism.

We invite all interested parties to respond to the Issues Paper, November 2012. The closing date for submissions is Thursday 31 January 2013. All submissions will be posted on the auDA website unless clearly marked confidential.

The issues paper page, which includes contact information, can be found here.
