auDA’s CTO: 15 Years Of Keeping .au Secure And Stable

Posted by auDA on 6 August 2019

auDA would like to celebrate the hard work of its longest-serving staff member, CTO Adam King, who recently celebrated 15 years as a member of the auDA team.

When Adam first joined, auDA was much smaller than it is now and his first role was in compliance, answering questions from the public and resolving complaints.

He then went on to establish an internal IT team, which manages the .au zone file and name servers, as well as providing IT services for the compliance, policy, stakeholder engagement, and membership functions.

Adam is currently leading a major project to upgrade all the IT infrastructure of auDA including moving all services into the cloud and strengthening auDA’s security to international standards.

Outside of work Adam is known for his love of extreme sports. If it’s fast or dangerous (preferably both) Adam is probably doing it on the weekend. He’s also the proud dad to two girls.

Adam is a crucial part of the auDA team and is highly valued as a DNS expert with a sharp sense of humour. As .au enters an exciting new phase we’re proud to be able to count on Adam’s expertise and dedication to ensuring the .au ccTLD remains a world leader.
