Call for Participants for Competition Model Advisory Panel

.au Domain Administration invites people with an interest in the .au namespace to nominate for a position on the Competition Model Advisory Panel.  The panel is to review existing .au operations, overseas best practice, and recommend a model for the introduction of competition in the provision of domain name services in .au.

The panel membership will be structured to represent all areas of the Australian community including consumers, domain name end users, and the internet industry.

Note that there is a significant amount of work to be carried out, and the estimated timeframe to complete all the Panel’s work is approximately 10-12 months.  Nominees should confirm that they can make the significant time commitments necessary as panel members, and should read:

Nominees who are not appointed to the Panel will have ample opportunity to participate through the Panel’s public consultation processes, including making submissions to the Panel, and participating in the email discussion list.
